Electronic Engineer with military background and proven experience in procurement (involving public administration) and programme management (at international level), Alfonso Aiello is a Lieutenant Colonel of the Technical Corp of the Italian Army serving his Country since 1996. After spending his initial part of his military career in signal regiments, including a deployment in operational theatre, in 2001 he was moved to the TELEDIFE Directorate of the Italian Secretariat General of Defence / National Armaments Directorate where he was involved in the military procurement process of different programmes, ranging from Command and Control software systems to telecommunication radio systems. From 2009 to 2012 he was appointed as technical specialist of the ESSOR Programme Division (located in Bonn-DEU) part of international organization OCCAR-EA. Back to Italy, he was posted again at the Directorate TELEDIFE where he has been leading the Secure Software Defined Radio Section in charge of the procurement processes of the associated components. Following a continues improving approach during his professional career, he has achieved additional different university degrees and the international qualifications as INCOSE Certified System Engineering Professional (CSEP), PMI-Project Management Professional (PMP) and PRINCE2 Practitioner.
