India Regional Committee Meeting

We have great pleasure in announcing the formation of the India Regional Committee of the Wireless Innovation Forum.

This is in furtherance of the requests of Indian members of the forum, which are BEL, CDAC, Rolta, TCS and Tata Power SED, so that people in India have a forum to discuss latest technology trends and standards and invite people who would otherwise have to travel overseas to gain exposure to the latest advances.

The Regional Committee will be responsible for carrying out events that promote awareness and furtherance of development and adoption of all aspects of Software Defined Radio and other topics of interest in the wireless area.

We are holding an inaugural event at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi on the 19^th of June 2014. Dr. Vincent Kovarik, a pioneer in the area of SDR and a Director of the Wireless Innovation Forum, has kindly consented to deliver a talk on the importance of SDR and current trends.

This event will start at 1900hrs in the Maple room at the India Habitat Centre, and will be followed by dinner.

You are cordially invited to attend this inaugural event.

We will also be having a technical workshop on SCA framework of SDR, at the same venue, on the 20^th of June 2014 from 1000hrs to 1600hrs. This workshop will be conducted by Dr. Vincent Kovarik. There are no charges for this workshop. We request that you nominate appropriate technical members of your teams for this workshop.
